I'm John Seago. I graduated with a double major in Philosophy and
Biblical Studies from Southeastern College Wake Forest, North Carolina. Then I studied
philosophy at the University of Dallas for several years and received a
Master’s in Bioethics from Trinity International University. I am currently
pursuing a doctorate in Bioethics and Health Policy at Loyola University
Chicago.
I serve as the Legislative Director for Texas Right to Life
and lead the research, writing, and lobbying for state Pro-Life and medical
ethics policies in the Texas State Legislature. For example, I recently had the privilege of leading the drafting, negotiation, and passage of a reform of Texas’ law on
Do-Not-Resuscitate Orders. I'm also a patient advocate that helps patients and families navigate disagreements and communicate with their healthcare providers.
I created and manage www.exploringethics.com.
I live in Austin, Texas with my wife and two kids where I serve as an elder at City Life Church.
